Patricia Mareuil Retires! La retraite de Patricia Mareuil!

Patricia retires after 42 years of work at RRC.  Pat is best known as the “Queen of reporting” for all of RRC!  She is also a champion and helped in the introduction of SAP into RRC.  Pat helped develop most of the training sessions on SAP for different departments and designed all the bells and whistles on different gates to make SAP as user friendly as possible, which was quite a big job for such a complicated system.

Pat started at Rolls Royce Canada on June 25, 1975.  Her first job was as a Kardex Clerk and was chosen based on her neat handwriting.

She then became a Provisioner now known as a Buyer or MRPC, then went into SAP introduction and IT; she found her true passion in her position as a Data Analyst.

Pat has always been very professional and easy to work with.  She has the ability to make the most complicated issue seem very simple, so once it has been explained to a person they would remember and understand it forever.  A great teacher with the patience of a saint and a warm smile which she wore throughout her career, she earned everyone’s respect who met her, worked with her, and who was lucky enough to get help from her.

Now that she has retired, Pat will follow her love for gardening full time; she is an encyclopedia when it comes to gardening so if you have any questions, do not hesitate to give Pat a call!  She has a few projects for external and internal gardening.  Pat also loves movies!  She has a big collection of films but because of her busy life, she never actually had the time to watch them all.  Now, she will have the luxury of sipping her tea and enjoying her movies.

Pat also is a cyclist and a loves to read about different subjects. She will study at Google University as she is very curious by nature!

Last but not least, Pat loves video games so she will be having fun playing her favourite Skyrim games!

A lovely person and a good colleague, Pat leaves behind lots of friends.

Wishing Pat a long and happy retirement.

A BRIEF BIOGRAPY of CATHY WRIGHT

Years before I arrived at RRC, I took courses related to Material Requirements Planning, and got my CAPIC certificate.  Barcode technology was being introduced in shop floor control, and although I had read about it, I had never seen it in action.  A team of 4 MRPC’s from RRC were in my program and in 1 of the courses, they were able to show us, that the technology was already in use at RRC.  I was very impressed and thought RRC would be a good company to work for.

Years later, 1996 a friend told me about an opening at RRC as MRPC.  I updated my CV and was thrilled to get a job in the Industrial Trent as Planner/Buyer starting Sept 30th.

I changed from Industrial to Aero to Industrial and back to Aero to work on Class A and B.

I was greatly involved in the class C project, which lead to Hardware Kitting Project.  The project was complicated to get going, but the success was such that our project was chosen to represent Aero RRC at the CEQA competition in 2005  (Chief Executive Quality Awards).  We did not win, but it was quite an experience.

Immediately, upon my return, I joined the subcon team with Kathy and Marcel and we have worked together for the past 12 years.

In Jan 1998, I joined ERT.  It was challenging going through the training, writing exams and doing practical tests, but it is something that I am very passionate about and have been proud of my service with such an awesome team.

I am thankful for my 20+ year career at RRC, and I will miss the people who I have come to know as friends.

Looking forward, there is a lot of cycling, hiking, running, swimming and travelling on my horizon.  I am a sports and fitness nut, so I am lacing up my pink runners to start my new challenges.

GOOD LUCK CATHY!
