Nomination de D\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9s syndicaux et repr\u00e9sentants S&S \/ Nomination of Stewards and H&S Reps<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lors de la prochaine r\u00e9union g\u00e9n\u00e9rale du\u00a014 avril 2015, se tiendra les nominations pour les cinq (5) positions de repr\u00e9sentants syndicaux (3 pour RRC et 2 pour Siemens) ainsi que deux (2) repr\u00e9sentants S&S, un pour chaque compagnie.\u00a0Veuillez trouver ci-bas une description de ces positions:<\/p>\n

Le d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9\/repr\u00e9sentant\u00a0syndical<\/strong> joue un r\u00f4le de premier plan lorsqu’une probl\u00e9matique survient concernant un membre de la section locale ou au sein\u00a0de leur groupe. Le d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9 est aux aguets sur le front int\u00e9rieur quant\u00a0\u00e0 \u00a0l’interpr\u00e9tation ou l’application de la Convention Collective impliquant un membre de l’unit\u00e9\u00a0syndicale ou non. Il peut arriver que le repr\u00e9sentant syndical doive assister au r\u00e8glement de diff\u00e9rents entre la compagnie et un membre syndiqu\u00e9. Il priorisera dependant la r\u00e9solution de probl\u00e8me sur le terrain\u00a0avant de l’amener \u00e0 un niveau sup\u00e9rieur.\u00a0La position peut aussi impliquer\u00a0la distribution d’information, assister \u00e0 certaines r\u00e9unions et expliquer les clauses de la Convention Collective. De bonnes comp\u00e9tences dans le domaine de la communication s’av\u00e8rent d\u00e9finitivement un atout!<\/p>\n

Le repr\u00e9sentant en Sant\u00e9 & S\u00e9curit\u00e9<\/strong> repr\u00e9sentera l’unit\u00e9 syndicale au sein du Comit\u00e9 S&S de chacune des companies (le titre peut vari\u00e9).\u00a0 Le repr\u00e9sentant fera le guet afin de d\u00e9tecter toutes conditions dangeureuses au sein de l’environnement de travail et cherchera toujours \u00e0 rem\u00e9dier aux situations\u00a0en des temps opportuns. Les membres pourront le contacter pour toute question relative \u00e0 la S&S. Le repr\u00e9sentant devra assister aux r\u00e9unions du Comit\u00e9 S&S. Une experience en Sant\u00e9 et S\u00e9curit\u00e9 s’av\u00e8re un atout mais\u00a0n’est point\u00a0essentielle.<\/p>\n

Pour ces deux positions, la participation\u00a0aux r\u00e9unions g\u00e9n\u00e9rales mensuelles\u00a0est requise afin de tenir les membres de la section locale inform\u00e9s du sujet. Une formation sera pr\u00e9vue dans les deux cas.<\/p>\n

The next General Meeting will\u00a0take place\u00a0on April 14 at 16:30.\u00a0 Nominations will be held for the positions of\u00a0five (5) stewards (3 for RRC and 2 for Siemens) and two (2) H&S representatives, one for each company.\u00a0 In a nutshell,\u00a0below are the descriptions of each position:<\/p>\n

A union steward<\/strong> is the first point of contact for a member when an issue arises that concerns\u00a0a lodge member or members within their group.\u00a0 This may relate to the interpretation of the Collective Agreement that may involve other lodge members or non-lodge members.\u00a0 Stewards may also be present in instances involving disputes between the company and a union member(s).\u00a0 Stewards attempt to resolve issues at the ground level rather than having the issue escalated.\u00a0 Other tasks include distribution of information, attending certain meetings and\u00a0explaining the Collective Agreement.\u00a0 Good communication skills are definitely an asset!<\/p>\n

A Health and Safety Representative<\/strong> will be part of each company’s H&S Committee (Title will vary).\u00a0 A H&S representative will\u00a0always be on the watch for\u00a0any unsafe working conditions and will seek to resolve these situations in a timely fashion.\u00a0 Members will contact the H&S representative for any H&S concerns.\u00a0 Attendance\u00a0at H&S meetings is compulsory.\u00a0 A background in H&S is beneficial but not essential.<\/p>\n

For both these roles, attendance is required at the General Meetings\u00a0 in order to share information with other members of the lodge.\u00a0 Training will be provided in all cases.<\/p>\n
