L’annonce a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9e vendredi, au Forum \u00e9conomique mondial de Davos, dans le cadre de la mission \u00e9conomique qu’effectue le premier ministre Philippe Couillard dans les alpes suisses. Qu\u00e9bec octroie en \u00e9change un pr\u00eat de 20 millions.<\/p>\n

Par l’entremise de sa filiale canadienne, le g\u00e9ant allemand investira 110,6 millions \u00e0 Dorval, o\u00f9 travaillent 400 personnes, afin d’y r\u00e9aliser de la recherche et du d\u00e9veloppement pour la conception ainsi que l’am\u00e9lioration de turbines a\u00e9rod\u00e9riv\u00e9es, utilis\u00e9es notamment pour la production d’\u00e9lectricit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

\u00abNous avons de tr\u00e8s bons chefs dans la cuisine et nous devons d\u00e9nicher plus de clients\u00bb, a r\u00e9pondu le chef de la direction de Siemens, Joe Kaeser, pour expliquer que ces investissements se traduiraient par quelques embauches.<\/p>\n

Les installations de Dorval sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es dans la conception et la fabrication de turbines \u00e0 gaz, de transformateurs \u00e9lectriques et d’\u00e9quipements d’imagerie m\u00e9dicale.<\/p>\n

M. Kaeser a expliqu\u00e9 que Siemens ne voulait pas simplement moderniser l’usine, mais s’assurer de la pr\u00e9parer pour la \u00abprochaine r\u00e9volution\u00bb afin qu’elle demeure concurrentielle.<\/p>\n

MM. Couillard et Kaeser s’\u00e9taient d\u00e9j\u00e0 rencontr\u00e9s pour discuter d’\u00e9ventuels investissements dans le cadre d’une visite effectu\u00e9e \u00e0 Munich, en Allemagne, en juillet dernier.<\/p>\n

Par ailleurs, Siemens d\u00e9ploiera 22 millions dans le cadre de son initiative collaborative inspir\u00e9e du mod\u00e8le allemand dual, qui, en plus de la formation dans les \u00e9tablissements d’enseignement, inclut une large proportion en milieu de travail.<\/p>\n

Siemens, qui estime \u00eatre un chef de file dans l’int\u00e9gration des technologies de pointe en milieu industriel, propose aux int\u00e9ress\u00e9s de venir observer gratuitement son mod\u00e8le, a expliqu\u00e9 M. Kaeser, pour ensuite l’implanter au sein de leurs organisations.<\/p>\n

\u00abNos clients, nos partenaires et nos universit\u00e9s peuvent venir voir et prendre le temps d’apprendre\u00bb, a-t-il dit.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 terme, le gouvernement Couillard souhaite que cette initiative puisse acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer le virage technologique des entreprises qu\u00e9b\u00e9coises en plus d’am\u00e9liorer la formation de la main-d’oeuvre, avec la participation des \u00e9tablissements d’enseignement comme les c\u00e9geps et les universit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

\u00abNous voulons mettre l’accent sur la formation en milieu de travail, a dit le pr\u00e9sident-directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral d’Investissement Qu\u00e9bec, Pierre Gabriel C\u00f4t\u00e9. Nous voulons appliquer le mod\u00e8le dual au Qu\u00e9bec.\u00bb<\/p>\n

Il faudra toutefois attendre pour savoir pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment comment les \u00e9tablissements d’enseignement seront mis \u00e0 contribution dans le cadre de cette initiative.<\/p>\n

Le dossier sera discut\u00e9 dans le cadre du Rendez-vous national sur la main-d’oeuvre qui doit se tenir le mois prochain.<\/p>\n

En plus de Dorval, Siemens exploite deux usines \u00e0 Drummondville et Trois-Rivi\u00e8res, o\u00f9 travaillent quelque 1100 personnes.<\/p>\n

Siemens multinational will invest nearly $ 133 million in its Dorval facility, which will also serve as a launch pad in North America for the deployment of a platform to help companies better integrate new technologies to increase productivity <\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

MM. <\/span>Couillard and Kaeser had already met to discuss possible investments as part of a visit to Munich, Germany last July.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, Siemens will deploy $ 22 million as part of its collaborative initiative inspired by the dual German model, which in addition to training in educational institutions, includes a large proportion in the workplace.<\/span><\/p>\n
