These negotiations were the longest in LL 2468 history, lasting almost two years.\u00a0 They are also the only negotiations which involved a conciliator from the Quebec Labour Board.\u00a0 The vote itself was also unique in that in order to satisfy government regulations regarding COVID-19, it was an all-day vote held outside, with time slots for voting depending on the voter’s name!<\/p>\n
The new 5-year contract (retroactive to 2018)\u00a0sees improvements to salary, vision care and banking of time at overtime rates.\u00a0 A simpler grievance process was also introduced.<\/p>\n
