A journey which began on May 14, 2018, with a different Negotiation Team and which involved three different business representatives, came to a conclusion on April 15, 2020 with the ratification vote by the membership, accepted at 87%.

These negotiations were the longest in LL 2468 history, lasting almost two years.  They are also the only negotiations which involved a conciliator from the Quebec Labour Board.  The vote itself was also unique in that in order to satisfy government regulations regarding COVID-19, it was an all-day vote held outside, with time slots for voting depending on the voter’s name!

The new 5-year contract (retroactive to 2018) sees improvements to salary, vision care and banking of time at overtime rates.  A simpler grievance process was also introduced.
